At the start of my last school year in Films, I was asked by my editing teacher to create both Opening and Closing credits on a short film. Along with a fellow editor, we started designing the opening based on Steven Spielberg's "Catch Me If You Can" one. We took graphics that represented the main parts of the journey told in the movie to make a nice-looking animation. We also wanted that our final frame would fade off in the first frame of the movie, just after the main title's apparition. It took us between to and three weeks to get the work done, starting with a blank composition in After Effects. The director's ideas for the credits were completely different, but he loved ours and encourage us to go on with our opening credits. It was well appreciated at the film screening.
